She has more than 140 refereed scientific papers in major international publishing houses.

One of the graduates of Ain Shams University... With her effort and perseverance, she was able to prove her scientific and administrative competence, and she deservedly held several positions... She is Prof. Abeer Al-Shater.

Abeer El-Shater obtained her PhD from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, to become a professor of urban design and urban morphology at the Faculty of Engineering. She lectured at many local and international universities, and supervised many theses in Egypt and abroad.

Al-Shater held several scientific and administrative positions, including Assistant Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Technical Affairs in 2022, and an expert in the Science, Technology and Innovation Finance Authority. She also held the position of scientific ambassador for Egypt in one of the regional planning organizations in the United Kingdom, a reviewer in the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority, deputy director of the quality unit at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, an international reviewer, deputy editor-in-chief and editor in many international scientific journals, and in December she was appointed supervisor of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.

Al-Shater's efforts enabled her to obtain many awards in publishing, scientific arbitration, and designing public spaces.

Al-Shater contributed to authoring and editing many peer-reviewed scientific books in the field of urban design issued by international publishing houses, until her scientific research exceeded more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific papers in major international publishing houses alone, in partnership with local and international researchers.

She has also chaired and arbitrated many funded research projects, and has extensive experience in preparing technical reports, master plans and research projects in the field of urban design, higher education policies and scientific research.

Because of the efforts made by Al-Shater, whether at the level of Ain Shams University, or in her work in the Ministry, and as one of the honorable models of Ain Shams University, the President of the University, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, honored her in the celebration of the Egyptian woman and the ideal mother that was organized last March.

Ain Shams University will continue to inject more scientific and administrative competencies into the various administrative institutions, thanks to its interest in graduating competencies capable of providing the best.
