As part of Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting scientific research, building research capabilities, and opening wider horizons for international academic cooperation, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University organized an introductory seminar on "Grants and Project Office " to support researchers and faculty members and enhance funding opportunities and international cooperation. This was under the auspices of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Rehab Othman Ahmed, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector at the University, headed by Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, and Prof. Irene Ayoub, Director of International Relations and Academic Collaboration at the Faculty.
The seminar was presented by Prof. Hoda Sousa, Director of the Grants and Projects Office; Dr. Noha El-Rafei, Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Office and Ain Shams University Coordinator for the Erasmus+ European Exchange Program; and Ms. Nevin Iskandar, Administrative Coordinator at the Grants and Projects Office.
The seminar addressed local and international funding opportunities and mechanisms for supporting research projects from the initial idea stage through the application process, contract management, and project completion.
The seminar also discussed application procedures, administrative follow-up, and the financial and technical management of projects after grant approval, in addition to mechanisms for effective cooperation with the Grants and Projects Office at Ain Shams University.
A large number of faculty staff, researchers, and students attended the seminar, which featured presentations of several success stories in securing grants and funding for research projects. This contributed to sharing practical experiences and encouraging participants to take advantage of available opportunities.
