A seminar on digital reporting using mobile phones was held at the Faculty of Mass Communication

The Faculty of Mass Communication at Ain Shams University organized a workshop entitled “Creating Digital Reports Using Mobile Phones,” as part of the Faculty’s commitment to developing the skills of its students and keeping pace with the latest trends in digital media, under the supervision of Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Salwa Suleiman, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.

         
   
         

Mr. Osama El-Deeb, a journalist specializing in mobile journalism, and a trainer in multimedia and investigative reporting, lectured at the seminar, who reviewed for the students the basics of producing digital reports using a mobile phone, starting from choosing the journalistic idea, through photography and editing methods, to producing content in a professional manner that suits different digital platforms.

The seminar included a practical explanation of the most important tools and techniques of mobile journalism, with a focus on how to use the phone as an integrated media tool, the importance of visual storytelling, information verification, and adherence to professional standards in the production of digital journalistic content.

The seminar also witnessed remarkable interaction from students through discussions and questions, as the future of mobile journalism, its opportunities in the media job market, and its growing role in covering events and producing investigative reports were addressed.

The students expressed their appreciation for the importance of the seminar, stressing that it added new practical experiences to their lives and contributed to developing their skills in producing digital content using simple and effective tools, thus supporting their qualification for the modern media labor market.
