In line with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to raise awareness among university students, to inform them of the state’s efforts in strengthening national security capabilities and supporting strategic industries, and to highlight the vital role of the armed forces in protecting the homeland, the Education and Students Sector at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Popular and Military Defense Forces, organized (4) field visits for university students to the International Defense and Military Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025” in its fourth session, which was held at the Egypt International Exhibition and Conference Center, with the participation of major international and regional companies working in the fields of armament, defense and security industries.

The visits are part of the university's plan to enhance its students' awareness of national efforts in localizing defense industry technologies and to familiarize them with the latest military systems produced by the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Egyptian companies.

The visit was held under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and was organized by Colonel Abu El Hassan Abdel Monsef Abu El Hassan, Director of the Military Education Department, with administrative coordination by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

During the visit, the students toured the various pavilions of the exhibition, watched demonstrations of the latest defense systems, and listened to a detailed explanation about the stages of development and production. They were also introduced to the advanced capabilities that the Egyptian state has reached in the fields of military industry and defense technology.

The students expressed their admiration for what they witnessed during the visit, praising the significant progress achieved in national industries across various armament sectors. This reflects the ambitious strategic vision of the Egyptian state to enhance its defense capabilities and regional leadership.

The Education and Student Affairs sector at Ain Shams University affirms its commitment to continuing to organize such events, which broaden students' horizons, strengthen their sense of national responsibility, and allow them to directly observe the nation's development in all fields.
