The Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University successfully conducted a comprehensive evacuation drill for the college buildings and their annexes, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance safety procedures and emergency preparedness. The drill was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, University President, and supervised by Prof. Mohamed Ragaa El-Sotouhy, Dean of the Faculty of Science, with the presence of Prof. Eman Abdel Azim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and in coordination with Prof. Amal Morsi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The drill was carried out by the faculty’s Civil Defense and Security departments, in effective cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense and the General Directorate of University Security. The fire alarm was sounded, and faculty members, administrative staff, and students were safely evacuated.

Prof. Mohamed Ragaa, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that safety and security are essential pillars that cannot be overlooked to ensure the smooth operation of the educational process, and that strict adherence to instructions by everyone contributed to the success of the drill, reflecting the college’s readiness for a rapid and organized response in emergencies.

Prof. Amal Morsi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, noted that six buildings and their annexes were evacuated in an organized and smooth manner within five minutes, highlighting the effectiveness and success of the drill.”
