Within its commitment to supporting international collaboration and leveraging academic partnerships with global universities, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, welcomed Dr. Shahzad Mamoon from the University of East London (UEL), a specialist in cybersecurity with extensive experience in both research and industry.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Sherin Rady, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Coordinator of International Cooperation; Prof. Hala Mosheer, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Mohamed Essam Khalifa, Head of the Computing Sector at the Supreme Council of Universities; Prof. Mohamed Hashem, Professor of Information Security; and Prof. Howaida Abdel Fattah, Head of the Department of Scientific Computing.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed avenues for collaboration between the faculty and the University of East London in the fields of scientific research, academic exchange, and development of international programs, aiming to enhance the quality of education and research in modern technology.
Dr. Shahzad Mamoon also delivered a scientific lecture titled “Cybersecurity Challenges in Critical Infrastructure”, in which he addressed the latest global trends in the field and the challenges faced by various institutions in protecting data and digital infrastructure.

The lecture was attended by faculty members, assistant staff, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students, who actively engaged in the topic and participated in discussions and questions.
In her speech, Prof. Rasha Ismail emphasized the importance of such scientific visits, which open new horizons for international collaboration and contribute to the exchange of expertise between Egyptian and British universities, thereby enhancing the faculty’s local and international standing.
This visit is part of a series of activities and events organized by the faculty in partnership with the University of East London, aimed at developing academic and research capacities and exchanging expertise in modern fields.
