The Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University concluded the free training course in entrepreneurial skills, organized in cooperation with the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) of the Cabinet of Ministers, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty, supervised by Dr. Esraa Mohamed Faheem, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Unit at the Faculty, and coordinated by Dr. Mohamed Farid El Metwally, Deputy Director of the Unit. The course lasted 12 hours over two days.

During the event, Dr. Hanan Kamel expressed her delight at seeing student projects featuring innovative entrepreneurial ideas, emphasizing that this form of collaboration between the faculty and state institutions reflects the university’s commitment to empowering youth and providing them with practical knowledge to prepare them for the labor market. She also congratulated the students for successfully completing the course.

Dean Hanan Kamel praised the MSMEDA’s role in supporting the concept of self-employment and the efforts of the state and political leadership in creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurship and generating innovation-driven job opportunities.

The course trainer, Ms. Wafaa El-Sayed, Senior Manager at MSMEDA, covered the foundations of entrepreneurial thinking and the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur, highlighting the importance of market analysis, feasibility studies, and identifying each project’s competitive advantage. She also outlined ways to support young entrepreneurs through integrated training and financing programs, helping them develop skills in time management, decision-making, business planning, and modern marketing strategies.

Ms. Wafaa emphasized the need to build a new culture of self-employment, relying on personal initiative and turning ideas into real economic opportunities, noting that several successful projects in the Egyptian market started as small initiatives.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rameeh Abdel Haseeb Rameeh, trainer and Cairo Office Manager at MSMEDA, focused on mechanisms for transforming ideas into sustainable projects, explaining the essential steps to establish a project, including financial and technical feasibility studies, selecting the appropriate legal structure, and managing funding and risks within an integrated system aimed at promoting entrepreneurship as a key component of national development. He stressed that Egyptian youth possess the necessary ingredients for success through determination and innovation, urging participants to apply the skills they gained to achieve their ambitions and build projects that benefit society and the economy.

At the conclusion of the course, the Dean honored the trainers in recognition of their distinguished contributions and the success of the program. Certificates of completion were awarded to the participants, and the event concluded with commemorative photographs.
