Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Engineering, headed by Prof. Amr Shaat, Dean of the Faculty, celebrated the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Loban Egypt Workshop within the faculty. The workshop serves as an outstanding model of educational and practical cooperation between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the People’s Republic of China in the fields of technical and engineering training.
In his speech during the celebration, Prof. Amr Shaat welcomed the distinguished guests, expressing his delight at the gathering of numerous partners and friends from both the Egyptian and Chinese sides in a ceremony that embodies the fruits of ongoing cooperation between the two parties.

He emphasized that the celebration underscores the continuation of the fruitful partnership between Egypt and China and supports the vision of the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University to prepare creative engineering professionals capable of competing in both the local and international labor markets.
The event was attended by Prof. Marwa Khalifa, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Adel El-Sabbagh, Head of Loban Workshops, along with several faculty staff, teaching assistants, and students.

From the Chinese side, Mr. Guo Chuchiang, President of the Tianjin Foreign Friendship Association, and Dr. Li Yunmi, Dean of Tianjin College of Light Industries, participated, along with representatives from the Friendship Association and several Chinese companies operating in Egypt and China, which contributed a range of digital educational resources to support the Loban Workshop and the faculty’s students.
The celebration also included an exhibition showcasing the workshop’s achievements over the past five years, featuring models of products manufactured within the workshop, practical exercises added to the academic curriculum, and joint training programs conducted in collaboration with the Chinese side, both in Egypt and in China.
