As part of community collaboration and efforts to serve childhood development, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Graduate Childhood Studies at Ain Shams University hosted the activities of the Mobile Library Bus Initiative organized by the Heliopolis Association (Misr El-Gedida). The event took place at the Child Care Center for Children with Special Needs at the faculty, as part of the association’s ongoing efforts to promote culture and knowledge among children.
Prof. Howaida El-Gebaly, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that the faculty was keen to host the initiative immediately upon receiving the invitation, believing in the importance of cultural and educational activities in developing children’s awareness. She added that this collaboration reflects the faculty’s and Ain Shams University’s commitment to enhancing educational and cultural engagement and serving the community.
She also noted that participation in this initiative represents a practical model of the university’s role in community service and environmental development, praising the support of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, for such initiatives that promote inclusion, social solidarity, and cultural awareness among children.
The delegation from the Heliopolis Association was welcomed by the faculty’s leadership, headed by the Dean, along with several faculty staff, including Prof. Dr. Amr Nahla, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, Assoc. Prof. Marwa Abdel Latif, Assistant Professor at the Department of Media and Child Culture, and a number of staff members from the faculty and the Special Needs Center.
The event included a variety of cultural and recreational activities that delighted the children, helping to develop their abilities and bring joy to their hearts in an atmosphere of positive interaction and cooperation between the faculty team and the association’s team.
