Opening of nominations for Ain Shams University Awards of Appreciation, Incentive, Pioneers, and Women’s Appreciation for 2025
Ain Shams University announces the opening of nominations for its annual awards for 2025, which include the University Appreciation Awards, Incentive Awards, Pioneers Award, and the Women’s Appreciation Award.
These awards reflect the university’s commitment to recognizing the efforts of its distinguished scholars and researchers, while encouraging creativity and excellence across various fields of scientific research and academic innovation.
Awards Details:
First: Ain Shams University Appreciation Award
The Appreciation Award is granted to faculty members who have established a distinguished scientific school, produced innovative and published research, and made tangible contributions to the university and the nation.
Applicants must have spent no less than five years in the rank of Professor.
The university allocates 17 Appreciation Awards across eight fields as follows:
Medical Sciences: 3 awards
Engineering Sciences: 2 awards
Architecture: 1 award
Technological Sciences: 2 awards
Educational Sciences: 1 award
Basic Sciences: 3 awards
Social Sciences: 4 awards
Agricultural Sciences: 1 award
The financial value of the University Appreciation Award is EGP 100,000 and a Certificate of Appreciation.
Second: Ain Shams University Incentive Award
Ain Shams University grants the 2025 Incentive Awards to young researchers under the age of 40 as of December 31, 2025.
These awards target assistant staff members (teaching assistants and assistant lecturers) as well as lecturers and assistant professors who have published no fewer than five scientific papers in their field of specialization, in addition to active participation in scientific and community activities.
The university allocates 10 Incentive Awards across five fields as follows:
Basic Sciences (2 awards):
(One for various basic sciences / one for advanced technological sciences serving the field of basic sciences)
Agricultural Sciences (2 awards):
(One for various agricultural sciences / one for advanced technological sciences serving the field of agricultural sciences)
Medical Sciences (2 awards):
(One for various medical sciences / one for advanced technological sciences serving the field of medical sciences)
Engineering Sciences (2 awards):
(One for various engineering sciences / one for advanced technological sciences serving the field of engineering sciences)
Social and Human Sciences (2 awards)
The financial value of the University Incentive Award is EGP 25,000 and a Certificate of Appreciation.
Third: Ain Shams University Pioneers Award
The Pioneer’s Award is granted to senior university professors who have spent at least ten years at the rank of Professor and have made leading contributions in their respective fields, as well as significant community and national contributions.
The university grants 6 Pioneers Awards, one in each of the following fields:
Basic Sciences
Agricultural Sciences
Medical Sciences
Humanities and Social Sciences
Engineering Sciences
Educational Sciences
The financial value of each Pioneers Award is EGP 75,000, in addition to a Certificate of Appreciation.
Fourth: Ain Shams University Women’s Appreciation Award
In recognition of the vital role of women within the Ain Shams University community, the university has established the Women’s Appreciation Award.
Four awards are granted annually, one in each of the following fields:
Applied Sciences (Engineering / Technological / Environmental)
Medical Sciences
Basic or Agricultural Sciences
Humanities (Social Sciences, Arts, Education, and Fine Arts)
The financial value of each Women’s Appreciation Award is EGP 30,000, in addition to a Certificate of Appreciation.
The administration of Ain Shams University invites faculty members who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to apply for the university’s awards to complete and approve all nomination requirements as soon as possible.
- Deadline for submission of complete and approved nomination files:
Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the General Administration for Scientific Research, located behind Zafaran Palace.
- Final closing date for receiving files for all university awards:
Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
