Honoring several Faculty Vice Deans and Participants in the Activities of the Sector… During the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Council Session at Ain Shams University

Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University, chaired the regular session of the Council for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in the presence of council members including faculty deans, vice deans for community service and environmental development, and the Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Prof. Ghada Farouk began the session by honoring former vice deans for community service and environmental development who had completed their term of service, namely: Prof. Ahmed Dehoum, former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Prof. Alaa El-Din Abdel Halim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education. She also honored faculty members who participated in awareness campaigns held in schools during the past academic year.

The Council also extended its congratulations to the newly appointed vice deans at the Faculties of Education, Agriculture, and Business.

Prof. Ghada Farouk commended the efforts of all staff members in the sector for their role in organizing and implementing awareness campaigns and comprehensive development convoys, highlighting the success of two notable convoys conducted in Beheira Governorate, serving the residents of Housh Eissa and Damsna village, in cooperation with Damanhour University.

She also reviewed the upcoming comprehensive development convoys planned by the sector, including a one-day convoy to serve the residents of the “Ahlina” neighborhood, and a five-day convoy, emphasizing the importance of participation from all university faculties to maximize impact.

Additionally, she presented updates on the establishment of the Community Observatory and the maintenance work carried out at various faculties in preparation for the new academic year.

The Council approved the transfer of affiliation of the Consulting and Scientific Studies Center for Nature Reserves, which will now operate under the Consulting and Scientific Studies Center at the Faculty of Science. The Council also approved the establishment of a Training and Scientific Consulting Center at the Faculty of Communication (Mass Media).

The session also included a discussion on expanding designated spaces to establish early childhood nurseries to serve the university community, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Furthermore, the Council reviewed the status of various specialized units in the faculties under the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and discussed ways to enhance their operations.

Prof. Ghada Farouk concluded by presenting a report on the agreements and protocols signed in August, stressing the importance of actively following up on their implementation and optimizing their impact.
