It has been decided to extend the exhibition showcasing the works of Italian architect Ernesto Verrucci, Chief Architect of the Royal Palaces during the reign of King Fouad, held at Al-Zafaran Palace Museum at Ain Shams University, until the end of 2025.
The exhibition is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abidin, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The exhibition comes as part of the cultural and educational role of Al-Zafaran Museum, which aims to raise archaeological and architectural awareness among university students and museum visitors. It is supervised by Prof. Mamdouh El-Damati, former Minister of Antiquities and General Supervisor of Al-Zafaran Museum.
Dr. Walaa El-Din Badawi explained that the extension of the exhibition is being carried out in cooperation with the Italian Archaeological Institute in Cairo and the Italian Cultural Institute. The exhibition features a collection of rare photographs and documents highlighting Verrucci’s most prominent architectural achievements, which enriched Egyptian architectural style and showcased the splendor of royal palaces during a remarkable period in Egypt’s history.
