Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and within the framework of the university’s and the faculty’s commitment to raising youth awareness of national issues and current challenges, the Youth Welfare Administration and the Faculty Students’ Union organized a seminar entitled: “Facing the Challenges and Threats to Egyptian National Security.”
The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, and Prof. Asmaa Zaazou, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. It was organized by the Education and Students Sector, the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Social Activities Department, with administrative supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Students Affairs.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the major threats facing Egyptian national security in light of regional and international changes, clarifying the role of state and societal institutions in confronting them. It also emphasized the importance of raising university students’ awareness and protecting them against disinformation campaigns and rumors.

Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty, stressed that the seminar came within the faculty’s enlightening and awareness-raising role, noting that the faculty is always keen on presenting topics that reflect national realities and contribute to building the awareness of its students regarding the challenges their homeland faces.
Prof. Asmaa Zaazou, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, added that the faculty is eager to engage students in such events, given their vital role in strengthening national spirit and enhancing the sense of responsibility toward national issues. She highlighted that the positive interaction from students reflected a growing awareness of national security concerns.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the Faculty Administration confirmed its commitment to continuing to organize such activities that reinforce national belonging and instill the concepts of comprehensive security among students.
It is worth mentioning that the seminar witnessed the participation of a large number of students and staff, with strong interaction through discussions and questions, enriching the dialogue and deepening participants’ understanding of national security concepts.
