The Career Center launched the first week of the initiative, spanning six training days focusing on various life and employability skills, with 11 training groups comprising a total of 270 trainees. This comes as part of the wider target of training of more than 2,500 students and graduates to qualify them for the labor market.
In this regard, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, praised the steps taken by the Career Center to prepare for the university’s participation in the initiative. He stressed that the initiative represents a genuine bridge between students’ academic studies and the actual needs of the labor market, helping them embark on their professional journey with confidence. He also urged students and graduates to actively engage in this important initiative, to be part of this promising shift and to be well-prepared for the future.
The “Be-Ready” initiative is one of the executive mechanisms of the “Alliance and Development” initiative, funded by the Innovators Support Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is implemented with the participation of several international and local partners, including the International Labour Organization (ILO), Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), the Global Innovation Institute, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Education Development Fund of the Egyptian Cabinet, Life Makers Foundation Egypt, and Plan International through its “Ready for Tomorrow” program.
The training programs will be held in the coming period at the Career Center and Innovation Hub, in addition to cooperation with the Faculties of Commerce and Arts to host several training programs on their premises.
