Ain Shams University wins two awards for the best doctoral dissertations among Egyptian universities from the Egyptian Mathematical Society for the year 2025
As part of Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting academic excellence and encouraging young researchers to innovate scientifically, two female researchers from the Faculty of Science have achieved a remarkable accomplishment by receiving awards for the best doctoral dissertations in mathematics at the level of Egyptian universities. These awards are granted by the Egyptian Mathematical Society in recognition of their research efforts and scientific dissertations, which have resulted in specialized international publications.
On this occasion, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and the University Awards Office extend their sincere congratulations to the two winning researchers, praising their outstanding scientific achievements that enhance the university's standing in the academic arena. They also extend their thanks and appreciation to the faculty members supervising the dissertations for their scientific support and effective follow-up, which contributed to this distinction.
The following won:
• Dr. Shaima Atef Abdullah Hassan, Lecturer at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, with Prof. Bahaa El-Din Helmy, a professor of statistics and computer science, was honored for her thesis, "Statistical Treatments on Some Game Models," which resulted in the publication of five prestigious international papers and several international publication awards at the university.
• Dr. Suhad Salama Suleiman Al-Masry, who holds a PhD from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, was honored with the Prof. Intisarat Al-Shabaki Award for Pure Mathematics for her thesis, "Invariant Dual Point Theories for Operators on Some Generalized Metric Spaces," which resulted in the publication of three internationally ranked papers and two awards at specialized scientific conferences.
This achievement is a culmination of Ain Shams University's efforts to support and nurture young researchers and its commitment to providing an academic environment that encourages excellence and creativity, contributing to enhancing their role in serving scientific research and achieving leadership for Egypt at the regional and international levels.
