In a new international achievement that adds to Egypt's record of academic excellence, a team of students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University won first place in the final of the Huawei ICT Competition 2025, held in Shenzhen, China, from May 20 to 24, 2024.
The competition, one of the largest global events in the field of information and communications technology, witnessed fierce competition among more than 200,000 students representing more than 2,000 universities and educational institutions from over 100 countries and regions around the world. The competition included four main tracks: Networking, Computing, Cloud Computing, and Innovation.

Egypt participated in the finals with four teams after successfully passing the preliminary stages. A joint team from Ain Shams University and the Egyptian Russian University achieved a remarkable achievement by taking first place in the Computing track. The team included:
* Abdel Rahman Abdel Nasser (the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences- Ain Shams University)
* Abdel Rahman Adel (the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences- Ain Shams University)
* Malak Ibrahim Mohamed (the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence - Egyptian Russian University)
This victory is the culmination of the great efforts made to prepare and qualify students to compete at the international level, and it confirms the ability of Egyptian students to excel in advanced technology fields.
