Lieutenant General Abdel Meguid Sakr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, attended the discussion of the Military Research Authority's main research paper, with the participation of a delegation of Ain Shams University students
General Abdel Meguid Sakr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, witnessed the main research of the Military Research Authority entitled "The National Strategy to Confront the Impact of International and Regional Conflicts on Egyptian Interests in Africa" in the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, a number of ministers, commanders of the main branches, a number of Armed Forces commanders, strategic experts, thinkers, media professionals, and a number of students from military colleges and Egyptian university students.
A delegation from Ain Shams University participated under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and in coordination with the Education and Student Sector. 
The event began with a speech by Major General Staff Officer Hani Shabana, Head of the Military Research Authority, in which he thanked the General Command of the Armed Forces for providing all forms of support to advance research within the Armed Forces. He highlighted the importance of the research in developing a proposed national strategy to address the impact of challenges and threats to the national interests of the Egyptian state.
A group of strategic experts and researchers in the field of national security participated in preparing the research. The research included a discussion of the impact on Egyptian interests in various fields within the African continent, and concluded by presenting a number of recommendations and proposed mechanisms to preserve the national security of the Egyptian state in light of international and regional changes.
At the end of the research, Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the attendees, praising the efforts exerted in the research and its importance in supporting and developing the comprehensive forces of the Egyptian state, stressing the importance of adopting the latest scientific methods in confronting these challenges.
