Program Objectives

1- Preparing a graduate able to suggest plans to grow and produce field and horticultural crops according to the quality and specifications of soil and water according to local and global economic variables. Preparing a graduate who is able to compete in the labor market.

2- Providing students with knowledge and skills necessary to use water and soil resources efficiently while maintaining the quantity and quality of the product. Contribute to sustainable development of society, environmental development, and the increase of self-resources.

3- Graduate's students capable to handle with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop plans for cultivating field and horticultural crops under different production and environmental systems considering biological diversity, bio safety and risk elements.

To join the plant production program, it is required:

 Student success in a general plant course (101)
 The student obtained at least a good grade in the basics of plant production course (102).
That the students be distributed to the programs according to the student’s desires, taking into account the numbers proposed to be accepted in these programs based on the number of faculty staff and teaching assistants and the absorptive capacity of the laboratories in the various scientific departments.
Preference is made between students to enroll in a specific study program on the basis of the general assessment of the first level, and in the case of equality, preference is made based on the grade of the higher courses in the requirements of the program and the specialized courses.

  A student who is absent from the written exam is considered absent from the course exam, and the student’s success in the course is required to obtain 30% of the mark allocated for the written exam.
