In a remarkable sporting achievement, Moaz Mahmoud Fathy, a second-year student at the Faculty of Law, won first place in Africa at the Ninth African Wushu Kung Fu Championship.
The championship, hosted by the International Hall of the Arab Contractors Club in Egypt, concluded from May 3 to 5.
Moaz Mahmoud Fathy's victory adds to Egypt's achievements in this championship, which saw the participation of nine African countries: Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Senegal, Benin, Guinea, Ethiopia, and Côte d'Ivoire, in addition to the host country, Egypt.
In this context, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, congratulated student Moaz Mahmoud Fathy on the outstanding performance he displayed in the tournament, and this well-deserved victory that raises the name of Egypt and Ain Shams University high in African sporting arenas. He added that this achievement is the result of the great support the education and student sectors provide to student activities, especially sports.
