Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rehab Othman, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy organized the first student conference entitled "Molecular Modeling in Drug Discovery." The conference was supervised by Prof. Nasser Saad, Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty, and attended by a select group of faculty staff.

The conference featured third-year students who presented the results of their drug discovery and development projects through scientific posters, informational brochures, and presentations on drug discovery methods, with a focus on the goals of developing cancer treatments. The presentations were supervised by members of the department's teaching assistants.
The conference began with a lecture by Prof. Khaled Abu Zeid, Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, titled "The Journey of Drug Discovery." This was followed by a lecture by Prof. Associate Amjad Al-Bohi, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the British University, on "The Role of Molecular Dynamics in Understanding Bacterial Antibiotic Resistance." Students also gave oral presentations to showcase their research findings.

The conference witnessed distinguished participation from students from the British University under the supervision of Dr. Amjad Al-Bohi. Students from the Future University also participated by presenting a scientific poster showcasing their research in the field of drug discovery.
At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Nasser Saad and Prof. Khaled Abu Zeid honored the outstanding student teams, distributing awards and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their creativity and as an incentive to continue pursuing knowledge, scientific research, and self-development.
