Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, chaired the seventh session of the Education and Student Affairs Council for the 2024-2025 academic year, attended by Education and Students Vice Deans, from the faculties, and council members.
His Excellency began the council by thanking the university team involved in preparing for the visit of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for their efforts during the preparation period and the quality visit. He emphasized that this achievement is the culmination of the efforts made by all faculty staff, departments, and students at the university, and reflects their continued commitment to achieving the highest standards of academic and administrative quality.
The President of University also congratulated Prof. Safaa Shehata on her appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Education.

During the session, the Council discussed preparations for the second semester exams, stressing the importance of promptly completing the academic schedules and completing the university requirements for students (supplementary courses, military education, literacy, etc.).
The presence of faculty staff and employees was also emphasized during exams, and observers were reminded of all instructions regarding exam discipline, ensuring the smooth running of the exams.
The session also addressed the necessity of taking into account the nature of the examination paper in light of the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities in its session held on 2/22/2025 AD regarding determining the categories benefiting from the objective examination paper based on scientific foundations that are compatible with the characteristics of each of them, in coordination with the Center for Students with Disabilities and the Education Development Department (Measurement and Evaluation).
The session also addressed the stressing to the departments of Education and Student Affairs in the faculties the necessity of reviewing the data of students in the final classes for Egyptian students from the birth certificate and for foreign students from the passport before announcing the results of the final classes and making the required amendments.
The minutes of the previous session held on February 26 were also approved, as were the minutes of the Standing Committee’s session held on April 8, 2025, and its most important recommendations.
