The President of Ain Shams University inspects the progress of the second semester exams in the Faculties of Arts, Law, and Science

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, conducted an inspection tour this morning to follow up on the progress of the second semester exams for the academic year 2023/2024 in the Faculties of Law, Arts and Sciences, accompanied by the deans of the faculties, the vice deans, and the university’s assistant secretary for education and student affairs.

The tour began with an inspection of the Faculty of Law exams in the examination building. Prof. Mohamed Diaa met with a number of students and listened to their opinions on the nature and questions of the exams. This was followed by an inspection of the Faculty of Arts exams, where inspected the Faculty’s examination committees and reviewed the organizational proce

dures followed to ensure the smooth running of the exams. He also inspected the Faculty’s medical center.

The President of the University also followed up on the progress of exams at the Faculty of Science, and during his inspection tour, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen stressed the importance of providing a suitable environment for students during exams, allowing them to focus and perform in the best possible way, while adhering to the specifications of the exam paper. This is to ensure the highest degree of objectivity in evaluating students and measuring their ability to understand and academic achievement.

He stressed that the correction work should be carried out efficiently and effectively in parallel with the examination process in order to quickly announce the results.

At the conclusion of his tour, the university president praised the level of organization and discipline that he observed during his tour of the faculties, praising the efforts made by the education sector, students, faculty staff and administrators in organizing the examination process in a way that reflects professionalism and concern for the interests of students. He also praised the students’ organization within the committees and their commitment to the organized instructions, stressing that the success of the examination process reflects the combined efforts of all parties within the university.


It is noteworthy that the education and student affairs sector at the university had taken a package of measures in preparation for the start of the second semester exams, including emphasizing the instructions for precautionary measures and necessary measures to preserve the health of all parties to the educational system, emphasizing that students should not enter exam committees with mobile phones, while clearly announcing the penalty for their use in all places.

In addition to completing the necessary maintenance work for the examination building and the tent to receive 3,500 students, the university’s faculties were assigned to prepare a daily report during the examination period, which includes numbers of student attendance, absence, cases of cheating, and cases of illness.

Medical centers in faculties and university dormitory were also directed to work at full strength during the entire period scheduled for the examinations to ensure that the examinations proceed safely, and to provide additional emergency medical teams to be present throughout the examination period for any emergency reason in faculties with a large student population, and to provide members of the medical teams to begin work in the newly established faculties (Mass of Communication- Archeology - Veterinary) and directives to review precautionary measures in examination halls in faculties.
