The opening of the annual conference and science week at the Faculty of Girls

Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls of Arts, Science and Education, Ain Shams University, opened the activities of the Science Week and the college’s annual conference entitled “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, Opportunities and Challenges,” under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Deputy President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls and Chairman of the Conference, Prof. Asmaa Zaa’a, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs and Rapporteur of the Conference, Prof. Hanan Al-Shaer, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, whose activities will continue from April 20 to 24, 2024.

In the presence of the Faculty deans and a group of professors, faculty staff, and the Faculty’s teaching assistants.

The opening session of the conference began with each of the Faculty’s deputies presenting the achievements of the private sector, the departments and units affiliated with the sector, and the sector’s activities throughout the year.

     
 
     

Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty, indicated that the activities of the annual conference this year are about the most important challenges and opportunities facing artificial intelligence in the field of education, including the ethics of education in light of the artificial intelligence revolution and preparing female students for the labor market in the era of digital transformation. The conference will also discuss the role of women in the era of digital transformation and in sustainable development, in addition to focusing on the role of artificial intelligence in scientific research and in preparing a new generation of female students to face the labor market and how to deal with artificial intelligence technologies and its relationship to digital transformation in improving the quality of educational services.

   
   

Prof. Amira Youssef added that the conference covers the faculty’s three sectors, “the Education and Student Affairs Sector” by following up and organizing a group of student celebrations, events, and workshops, the “Graduate Studies Sector, through its participation in following up on scientific department conferences,” and the “Community Service and Environmental Development Sector” through coordination of a group of seminars, sessions, and scientific workshops that contribute to covering all the conference’s axes, this program is diverse and takes advantage of the distinctive diversity of the Faculty of Girls through the diversity of its sectors and departments between scientific, educational, and literary. The program was rich in its studies that achieve the goals of the conference during Science Week.

At the end of her speech, she thanked and appreciated all the attendees, the integrated team that works inside and outside the faculty to serve and develop the students of the faculty, and the conference organizing team.

The opening session concluded with the Faculty of Girls choral concert in cooperation with the Choir Oun team under the supervision of the faculty’s Youth Welfare Department.
