January 30: The Faculty of Arts hosts the nineteenth general assembly meeting of the Scientific Association of Faculties of Arts in member universities of the Association of Arab Universities

The Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, will host the nineteenth general body meeting of the Scientific Association of Faculties of Arts in Member Universities of the Association of Arab Universities, on Tuesday, January 30, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and hosted by Prof. Hanan Kamel. Dean of the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University.

The Deans of the Faculties of Arts at Ain Shams University, Cairo University, Mansoura University, and from Jordan, Yarmouk University, Philadelphia University, Jedar University, University of Jordan, Tafila University, Jerash University, Al al-Bayt University, Irbid National University, Zarqa University, Mu'tah University, University of Applied Sciences, participate in this important event, which takes place over the course of January 30 and 31.

An-Najah University in Palestine, Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, the Iraqi University in Iraq, Anbar University in Iraq, Jinan University in Lebanon, Qatar University from Qatar, and the Faculty of Arabic Language and Literature at Umm Al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia, also participate in the nineteenth General Assembly meeting of the Scientific Association of Faculties of Arts in member universities of the Association of Arab Universities.

The meeting will host a group of prominent officials, including Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Muhammad Al-Anqara, Secretary-General of the Association, and an elite group of academics, experts, and deans of faculties of arts at the university level in Jordan, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Lebanon, Qatar, Palestine and Egypt.

The meeting’s agenda includes discussing the difficulties facing the association and the magazine issued by the association (the Journal of the Association of Arab Universities of Arts), and how to improve it in form and content, in addition to approving the specializations of research sent to the magazine, as well as approving the magazine for promotion in the faculties of arts that are members of the association and citing the magazine’s research. The magazine is entered into the global database (Scopus).

During the meeting, the minutes of the meeting of the eighteenth General Assembly of the Scientific Association for Faculties of Arts, which was held on November 15, 2022 AD, will also be approved, in addition to presenting the minutes of the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association, which was held at Jinan University in Lebanon in the period from February 18-19, 2023 AD.

In addition to approving the association’s financial budget for the year 2023, approving the association’s administrative report for the year 2023, and discussing the association’s second international conference.

The date of the next General Assembly meeting and the body hosting the meeting has been determined, as well as the date of the next Executive Committee meeting and the body hosting the meeting.

The participants in the meeting are scheduled to tour Ain Shams University on the sidelines of the meeting.
