The beginning of the mid-year exams 2023/2024 at the Faculty of Arts

Yesterday, Saturday, December 23, 2023, the mid-term exams of the academic year 2023/2024 began at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, and continue until Thursday, January 18, 2024, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein Al-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.

It is worth noting that the faculty is fully prepared to begin exams in all subjects in all groups and levels of study, and the exams take place in 4 periods, starting from nine in the morning until four-thirty in the afternoon, and the duration of each committee is an hour and a half, and a half hour separates one committee from the other for cleaning and organizing the entry and exit of students, and about 22 thousand students will take the exams.

The schedules have been announced on the faculty’s website and official page, in addition to students being informed daily of the locations of their committees through the faculty’s official page.

It is noteworthy that the faculty has completed conducting electronic tests for the computer subject at the level of the Faculty of Arts programs for the first level in the credit hour programs, in the central electronic testing laboratories at Ain Shams University, located in the Faculty of Al-Alsun, which lasted from December 17 to 19, in cooperation with the University’s Education Development Department, headed by Prof. Mona Abdel-Al, and implemented by Dr. El-Sayed Abdullah, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Arts, and students of the old system, students of special committees, and students of the Vision Center took the exam at the headquarters of the Faculty of Arts in the laboratories designated for them, on Thursday, December 21st.

The electronic testing service is characterized by the student receiving the test result immediately after completing the recording of the answer. It also allows students to know the assumed model answer.

It is noteworthy that the faculty is witnessing a major boom in the development and renewal of infrastructure to serve the educational process, and one of the most important features of the renewal is the establishment of a free “Wi-Fi” Internet network for students, which enables the student to use the Internet on his phone throughout the faculty as one of the forms of digital transformation, for the desired benefit for all students.

Preparations were also made for the tests through the presence of the medical center team and ensuring the availability of emergency first aid tools and medications.
