The end of the activities of the Ain Shams University comprehensive development convoy for the people of Shalateen, Halayeb, and Abu Ramad.

The Ain Shams University Comprehensive Development Convoy successfully completed providing its services to the people of Shalatin, Halayeb, and Abu Ramad, amid praise from the people of the region for the medical and awareness services provided throughout the days of the convoy’s visit, under the auspices of Major General Staff Officer Dr. Amr Mohamed Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University and Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Hala Samir Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community and Environmental Affairs, under the administrative supervision of Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Community and Environmental Affairs, which was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector over five consecutive days. Nearly 3,500 beneficiaries flocked to the outpatient clinics of various specialties, and all of them received free pharmaceutical services from the Convoy Pharmacy, and 82 patients were transferred to receive treatment at Ain Shams University Hospitals.

         
   
         

Regarding the community awareness axis, Dr. Tariq Abdel Fattah, trainer at Ain Shams University Hospitals, presented a number of awareness seminars, where awareness campaigns were presented to the students of Major General Saad Abu Raida Preparatory School in Shalatin about healthy habits to prevent diseases, and the most important health rules and habits that will enhance the public health of the body and help fight diseases, an awareness symposium for students of General Hassan Kamel School in Shalatin about negative phenomena in society, causes and methods of prevention and treatment, and another symposium on proper nutrition and its impact on health for students of Sadat Primary School in Shalateen.

An awareness seminar was also presented at the Shalatin Nursing Institute on effective communication skills to provide distinguished medical service and an awareness seminar on the dangers of (drug abuse) for students of the Shalatin Nursing School. Through the awareness campaign, the causes of addiction and its effects, methods of addiction prevention, methods and methods of addiction treatment were discussed.

An awareness seminar entitled: (The Art of Anger Management) was also presented at the Shalatin Nursing Institute, in addition to providing 8,000 cartons of food supplies to the people of the region.
