The Faculty of Law Council discusses arrangements for the start of the new academic year and decides on issues of education, students, postgraduate studies, and research

On Monday afternoon, September 18, the Council of the Faculty of Law, at Ain Shams University, held its first meeting for the academic year 2023/2024, headed by Prof. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of the deputies, and members of the Council, including heads and representatives of scientific departments, the representative of the assistant professors, and the representative of the lecturers. In the presence of the division directors, the director of the quality unit, the director of the Arbitration Center at the Faculty of Law, at Ain Shams University, and the director of the e-learning unit.

Prof. Dean of the Faculty welcomed the council members and informed them of the preparations for the start of the new academic year and the work that was accomplished during the summer vacation.

         
   
         

The Council approved the promotion of some faculty staff and their assistants, adopted the cooperation protocol concluded between the the Faculty of Law Center for Arbitration and the Kemet Center for Arbitration, and approved some decisions related to the development of the faculty library, formed its auxiliary committees, and decided on issues related to student affairs, graduate studies, and research.

The Council completed its legal formation, as it chose five professors to join its membership, and nominated three members from abroad who have extensive knowledge of the subjects taught at the faculty to join it. They are Mr. Advisor Musaad Abdel Maqsoud Bayoumi, Chairman of the State Litigation Authority, Mr. Advisor Ahmed Saad El-Din, First Undersecretary of the House of Representatives, and Major General Dr. Nidal Youssef, Director of the Police Academy.
