Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, on Wednesday morning, June 19, at the Networks and Information Technology Center at the university, received Prof. Shakir Mousa is Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the Albany Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, New York State, and Research Chair.

A number of vice deans of the medical sector faculties at the university and a group of professors and directors of centers participated in the meeting. Prof. Abdel Nasser Sengab, former vice president of the university and professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Hisham El-Ghazaly, Professor of Oncology and Director of the Ain Shams Medicine Research Center.

During the meeting, the audience's inquiries about "nanotechnology", was responded and to discuss aspects of mutual cooperation.

In his speech, Prof. Ayman Saleh welcomed Prof. Shaker Mousa, a graduate of the University of Alexandria, who is considered one of the great scientists and one of the pioneers of nanotechnology, pointing out that his excellency contributed to the discovery and development of many drugs, especially heart medications, and he also made rich additions in the field of scientific research, and he has more than a thousand scientific research published in international scientific journals.

He added that Prof. Shaker Mousa also worked in many fields of manufacturing, inventing and developing medicines using nanotechnology and stem cells.

For his part, Prof. Shaker Mousa expressed his gratitude for hosting him at Ain Shams University, indicating that the meeting aims to present the latest uses and applications of nanotechnology in medicine and modern sciences, and to diagnose diseases early, which facilitates their treatment and raises the efficiency of treatments for many diseases.

He also praised the university's efforts in this field and its establishment of a nanotechnology building within its walls, which puts it at the forefront of Egyptian universities in this field.

After the meeting, the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research accompanied the guest on a tour of the nanotechnology building in the Faculty of Science, and another inspection tour of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the University I hub, where they were received by Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Center.
