Ain Shams University honors a number of leading models in the celebration of Egyptian women and the ideal mother

In a festive atmosphere, Ain Shams University concluded its celebration of the Egyptian Women's Day and the Ideal Mother. Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, started his speech to honor a group of the great women of Egypt and Ain Shams University, stressing that women and mothers are celebrated throughout life and not in one day. She has all our appreciation and respect.

He emphasized that the administration of Ain Shams University is distinguished by the representation of women as the first vice-president of the university, who is a Professor. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Professor of Urban Planning at the Faculty of Engineering, is a pioneer who deserves her position well.

         
   
         
         
   
         

During his speech, Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, on behalf of women in all their roles in life, whether they are a great mother, a loving wife, or a good daughter. The lyrical paragraphs of the mother, pointing out that the number of female students in the university exceeds 50% of the number of university students, and female students lead the artistic, cultural and even sports competitions and represent more than half of the members of the six technical teams at Ain Shams University, and they are the "Rouh El-sharq Choir", the Arabic Harmony Choir, the choir of the Faculty of Specific Education, the western choir, Choir On, and the Choir of Ain Shams sing in differently.

And Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, added that women are strongly represented in the leadership of the university, as women occupy half of the positions of deans of faculties, in addition to holding the presidency of a number of prestigious centers in the university, and she said, "Today we celebrate every Egyptian woman, not only those who have assumed a leadership position."

         
   
         
         
   
         

She also praised the organization of the celebration, which lasted for two days, which varied between workshops and awareness and educational seminars, and shed light on a number of pioneering models in various aspects of life.

The concert included a variety of musical performances, which the audience enjoyed from the singing of Choir On, led by Maestro Mahmoud Saber.

Also, Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Executive Director of the Women’s Support and Anti-Violence Unit, reviewed an overview of the unit’s history, activities and effectiveness that support women within the university community and the unit’s strategy in achieving its goals in spreading awareness and combating violence against women in all its forms

         
   
         
         
   
         

Then came the moments of honor and gratitude. In a noble human gesture, the students of the "For Egypt" family gifted in honor of the soul of the late, God willing, "the mother of Professor Mahmoud Eel-Meeini", she also gave a tribute to Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Associations at the University and Professor of Anesthesiology at the Faculty of Medicine at the University.

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saud and Prof. Ghada Farouk ceremonial shield to Prof. Johansen Eid has chaired the board of directors of the “National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation” since 2014, and she assumed the position of Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at “Ain Shams University” for postgraduate studies and research in 2010.

Prof. Shadia Ali Kenawy is a professor at the Department of Sociology - Faculty of Arts, former ambassador and permanent delegate of Egypt to UNESCO, and former head of the committee supervising the Grand Egyptian Museum project.

Prof. Mervat Akhnoukh, Professor, at the Department of Physiology – at the Faculty of Medicine, who was honored by His Excellency the President of the Republic 2022

Prof. Suhair Muhammad Saeed is a professor of computer science specializing in algorithms at the Faculty of Science

Prof. Eman Ahmed Mohamed Zaki, professor of psychiatry, specializing in children

Prof. Suzan Youssef Ahmed Al-Qalini, Professor of Mass Communication and the first female dean of the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, 2015

Prof. Gihan Abdel Moneim Ragab, former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business, and Advisor to the Vice President of Ain Shams University

Prof. Shahira Samir Zaki, Professor of Anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine and Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector

Prof. Maha Nada, Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, specializing in children was honored by the wife of His Excellency the President of the Republic

Prof. Samia Abdo, Professor of Clinical Analysis, Director of Infection Control, and Deputy Director of University Hospitals

Prof. Mona Abdel-Aal Al-Zahri, Professor of Public Health and Director of the Education Development Department, was honored for the university’s obtaining second place in the Government Excellence Initiative for the Development and Digitization of the Education System at Ain Shams University in the Egypt Award for Government Excellence

Prof. Rasha Ismail, Professor at the Faculty of Computers and Information Sciences, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, and Coordinator of the University's Electronic Portal.

Prof. Nevin Assem Attia Ashat is a professor at the Faculty of Girls and director of the Development and Training Center

Prof. Abeer Al-Shater is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Planning Department and Assistant Minister of Higher Education

Dr. Hajar Saif Al-Nasr is a teacher at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, former head of the central administration for foreign students, and former cultural attaché in Italy

Dr. Jihad Ibrahim, a teacher at the Faculty of Girls and former deputy, was chosen from among the 100 most inspiring Arab personalities.

Prof. Eman Mohamed Mukhtar Abdel-Momen Marai, Professor at the Department of Microbiology, at the Faculty of Agriculture

Dr. Yousra Mohamed Shaaban is a teacher at the Faculty of Law

A group of female students, graduates, and members of the university's administrative staff.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini and Prof. Ghada Farouk thanked and appreciated the families who organized the celebration, which lasted for two days. They are a family of students for central Egypt and the coordination of Prof. Jihan Rajab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hatem Rabih, a general leader of the Students for Central Egypt family at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, Prof. Sherawat Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Expatriate Department at the University, and Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zaid, Director of the Media Center of Ain Shams University, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center for Development Affairs at Ain Shams University

At the end of the ceremony, a film about the events and activities included in the celebration was shown.
