The Faculty of Agriculture organizes a reception for new students for the new academic year

In a festive atmosphere, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hesham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs, the new dogs for the academic year 2022/2023, and they witnessed the parade of families and student activities.

In the presence of department heads and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Refaat Khafagy, supervisor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Prof. Dr. Atef Kamel, Eng. Awad Desouki Al-Banna, Director General of the Faculty, Dr. Suzan Sanad, the captain of the Syndicate of Veterinarians in Cairo, and Dr. Khedeiwi, Director of Youth Welfare Department, members of the Youth Welfare Department

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his great happiness at receiving new children to the Faculty and welcoming the guests from the attendees, representatives of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, heads of scientific departments and members of the teaching staff. His Excellency indicated that the Faculty welcomes its guests from the sons of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and hosted them under the leadership of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University and the Deanship of His Eminence.

His Excellency pointed to the importance of agriculture and that it is the backbone of any nation, as it is strategic security, and pointed to the role of the agricultural Facultys in achieving this and producing qualified graduates for the labor market.

A welcomed. Dr.. Hisham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean of the Faculty, attended the honorable audience. His Excellency indicated that the Faculty boasts valuable scientific platforms, and students should spare no effort in acquiring knowledge, and that it is the way to raise the status of its owner and a prestigious position. His Excellency directed his students to register courses on the ASU2Learn platform for the scientific subject of online lectures, assessments and communication with faculty members.

As for the UMS system, it is for guidance, academic registration of courses, payment of expenses, requesting various services, and knowing the student’s result. Students should not confuse course registration on the ASU2Learn platform with the UMS system.

In the speech of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Refaat Khafaji, supervisor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, thanked and saluted Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Dr. Hesham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean of the Faculty for hosting and overcoming obstacles. The students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine were invited to make the effort because they are the first generation of the Faculty, and some of them will bear its responsibility later.

Dr. Susan Sanad, the captain of the Syndicate of Veterinarians in Cairo, expressed her happiness to have a great scientific edifice at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University.

This was followed by the solo and group choir concert of the Faculty choir led by Professor Yasser Suleiman, then honoring the outstanding students of the Faculty and winners of advanced positions in the activities.
