Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Sheren Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research organized the annual introductory meeting for postgraduate students for the academic year 2022/2023 with the Acting Dean of the College and the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research on the regulations and requirements for graduate programs (diplomas - masters – Ph.D.).

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel expressed her happiness on this day to meet her sons and daughters of students. She also urged them to exert effort and perseverance, especially in scientific research and to exploit the experiences and capabilities available to them by the college, faculty members, and academic coordinators for each study program, as well as the college library in the context of supporting digital transformation in post-education. The university indicated that it was fully prepared to receive their inquiries and serve them according to the applicable regulations, calling them to obtain information from its official source.

         
   
         

She concluded her speech by thanking Prof. Dr. Shereen Mazloum for her efforts in supporting and upgrading the graduate studies sector and the scientific research system in the college, which contributes to the advancement of the international classification of the college and its scientific publications. She also thanked everyone who contributed to the success of these programs, as well as the academic coordinators and graduate studies officials. Each department and staff in the Graduate Studies Department overcome all difficulties and respond to students' inquiries.

Prof. Dr. Shereen Mazloum talked about the programs, departments, and electronic services provided by the faculty to graduate students, and noted the importance of students' exploitation of the axes presented during the meeting, as they contain clarification of the regulations, regulations and requirements and determine the student's path and its importance in the student's familiarity with everything related to them in a simplified manner.

Mazloum stressed the student's responsibility to follow all the instructions announced in the Graduate Studies Department, and the importance of being fully aware of the regulations published on the college's website, as publishing them on the official website and page of the college is considered a notification to the student, and no excuse is accepted for not being aware of the published instructions. Mazloum also explained in detail the bylaws and regulations for academic programs and procedures, instructions and directives that ensure that the student obtains all his statutory rights.

The meeting included many topics of interest to the graduate student’s career. Ahmed Saber, who is responsible for the UMS program and the learning platform for postgraduate studies, talked about the steps and how to use the program, and responded to all the inquiries of new students with an applied explanation using the presentation of the registration method via the UMS university website, which It allows the postgraduate student to perform all enrollment and registration procedures for programs using the national number, as well as access to courses, payment of expenses, and the student’s position with the college in a way that ensures the confidentiality of data through a password for the student.

It also reviewed all the digital university links that the student needs during the study.
