The most important headlines of the 17th International Congress on Psychiatry and the 5th International Congress on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Over the course of three days, Ain Shams University witnessed the activities of the Seventeenth Annual International Conference on Psychiatry and the Fifth International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which was filled with a series of workshops during which all mental illnesses were discussed.

The conference was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Acting Dean of the College of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okasha, founder of the Psychiatric Center and President of the World Psychiatric Association (2002 - 2005) and Honorary President of the Egyptian Psychiatric Association and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kamel Ismail, Chairman of the Continuing Professional Development Committee (Ain Shams University), Prof. Dr. Maha Sayed, Chairman of the Conference, Head of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry, Director of Okasha Psychiatry Center and Prof. Dr. Tarek Okasha, Secretary General of the Conference.

The opening activities of the conference on its first day witnessed a lecture by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okasha on the medicalization of natural life, followed by a series of valuable lectures by professors from Ain Shams University, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Italy and India.
