Within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030, the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Presidency of Downtown Cairo, the General Authority for Adult Education, and the Egyptian Clothing Bank, launched its third development convoy in the downtown Cairo district, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohamed Nassef, President of the General Authority for Adult Education, Ms. Sumaya Ibrahim, President of Wasat District, and Dr. Islam Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University.

Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean of Al-Alsun Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, assured that the convoy started its work from Al-Kamal Primary School on Al-Moez Street, which it took as a fixed headquarters to provide its various services to the people of the neighborhood, with the participation of 42 students from the Faculty of Al-Alsun under the supervision of the Literacy Unit of the Faculty and the Social Committee under the auspices of Young.

         
   
         

She explained that the development convoy was able throughout the day to provide its services to 175 citizens who took immediate tests to obtain a literacy certificate and determine their levels, by dividing them into three examination headquarters.

Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that the development convoy witnessed a number of activities in addition to eradicating illiteracy, foremost of which was signing a medical examination for the people of the neighborhood, measuring blood sugar, measuring pressure and providing treatment for free, within the framework of the national campaign launched by the Egyptian state. titled "100 Million Health".

The convoy also distributed various clothes provided by the Egyptian Clothing Bank to encourage the people of the neighborhood.
