Faculty of Al-Alsun launches five-a-side football activities

The Sports Committee of the Student Union at the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University organized a five-a-side football league for 16 teams in the stadiums of the Faculty of Commerce, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Naim Tolba Sports Committee Adviser.

Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, said during his speech that sports activity opens the opportunity for discovering and nurturing talents, and various student activities are an integral part of university life, stressing that students’ participation in various types of activities contributes to preparing them for life upon graduation.

The league competitions witnessed distinguished levels of participating teams, and at the end of the second day, Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, handed over a trophy and commemorative medals to the top three teams, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Muti Saleh, the former Vice Dean of the Faculty, Ms. Afaf El-Deeb, Director of Youth Welfare Department, Prof. Hesham Al-Khudari, Prof. Ehab Ramses, Mr. Sayed Khaled, officials of the Faculty sports committee.
