Ain Shams University wins 13 Scholarship from the US Agency for International Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education

Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, approved the result of the sixth announcement of the Higher Education Initiative Program for Graduate Studies for Professionals, announced on 21/5/2021, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented through the Central Administration of Missions at the Ministry of Higher Education.

Based on the result that was approved on 8/1/2022, 13 members of the faculty and the supporting staff at Ain Shams University won.

These grants come within the framework of the university’s keenness, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, to raise the level of skill of the faculty member in the field of scientific research through training and conducting research in American universities and to ensure cooperation between Ain Shams University and American universities in the fields of education and scientific research.

The Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University announced that all the scholarships were obtained by faculty members and the supporting staff in the Faculties of Medicine and Science, where the Faculty of Medicine received 9 scholarships and the Faculty of Science received 4 scholarships.

The Faculty of Medicine also received 2 scholarships for post-doctoral scientific missions and 7 scholarships for training for a semester of 3-4 months, while the Faculty of Science received 2 scholarships for scientific missions and 2 training grants for a semester of 3-4 months.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh stressed the need for other Facultys to submit to the university in order to increase the number of those accepted in the subsequent announcements for this grant, in order to achieve excellence at the international level. February 2022.
