This is due to the Corona pandemic, which carried with it many positives despite what we suffer from fears and crises on the various health, economic and social levels.

He also confirmed that the Faculty of Education, along with other faculties of the ancient university, faced this severe crisis, thanks to God, and then thanks to its promising leadership, headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and his respected deputies, through an integrated systemic work that is characterized by providing support and effective communication.

He pointed out that the precautionary measures that have been taken have not stopped since March 15, 2020, until the end of postgraduate examinations on October 14th, and in preparation for the start of studies in the hybrid education system that combines traditional and distance education. The Faculty prepared by actually completing some procedures on the ground in coordination with the university leadership, which are summarized as follows:

Establish a remote e-learning unit specialized in dealing with faculty members and providing everything related to processing and dealing with e-courses in terms of providing software and training on its use, whether in the process of preparation or remote application, the most important of which is the "Model" program, which provides a virtual environment for interaction between the professor and his students as well as Zoom software and Microsoft Team system.

Activating the activities of the Crisis Management Unit through a distinguished group of faculty members and the assisting body whose mission is to link with the coordinators of academic departments to facilitate dealing with the variables related to dealing with the crisis.

The second field is literary, and it has seven departments: Arabic, Islamic Studies, English, French, German, Geography, History, Philosophy and Sociology. As for the third field, it is the educational field and it includes six departments, two of which accept first-degree students, namely the two departments of educational psychology and the department of special education, while there are four other educational departments that are limited to granting certificates and degrees in postgraduate studies, namely the departments of pedagogy, comparative education and educational administration, curricula and teaching methods , Mental health and psychological counseling.

Creating an official e-mail as well as a special site for each student on the university’s website and providing introductory and training videos about its uses for students in all teams, so that they are constantly available on the faculty ’s website, allowing optimal use of electronic media in the teaching and learning processes.

Transforming all academic courses into electronic copies that are easy to handle and code-protected ... as well as with the intellectual property rights of the author in a manner that guarantees justice for the student, professor and university community; where the student receives it on a compact disc (CD) containing the scientific content of all the courses that the student studies throughout the two semesters, as well as links (links) of references and various learning resources and even the accompanying assignments in anticipation of a face-to-face study cessation altogether.

Seek the assistance of the efforts and activities of our children, students of the Faculty of Education Union and the leaders of the various student groups, who have already done well in receiving new students and applying all possible precautionary measures in this field; As the liaison between Faculty leadership, youth welfare management and fellow students.

Hold a number of training courses and workshops to introduce the model and electronic media program in learning for all categories of faculty members and their assistants (their number reached about 400, 62% of the total members), as well as training student leaders (200 students) for guidance and direct communication with their colleagues to ensure Defining sources of information; In cooperation with the Distance E-Learning Unit and the Quality Assurance Unit.

The opposite is for students of the second and third divisions, in a way that guarantees the permanent reduction of the number of students present at the same time to half the force.

Sterilizing halls and teaching laboratories daily between different groups and contracting with a cleaning company to take care of the toilets and provide a safe and healthy environment.

Providing electronic thermometers and measuring the temperature of students and individuals before entering the Faculty campus, adhering to wearing a protective mask, providing an isolation room and implementing the preventive plan for the infection control unit, and extending the working period of the Faculty clinic until six in the evening. With designated entry doors for students, equipped with corridors to regulate influx, and a sun shade while waiting with colored markers on the ground to indicate safe distances.
