As directed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University congratulated the faculty staff and their assistants who were accepted in the unified announcement of the scholarship plan for the fourth year 2020/2021 of the eighth five-year plan 2017/2022, which includes dispatching (external missions - supervision Joint Masters - Postdoctoral Scientific Missions), in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

Ain Shams University received 21 scholarships dealing with different scientific disciplines. The Faculty of Al-Alsun advanced with 5 scholarships, and the Faculty of Science (4 scholarships), the Faculty of Medicine (3 scholarships), the Faculty of Pharmacy (3 scholarships), and the Faculty of Engineering (2 scholarships) came in second place. The Faculty of Business (2 missions), and finally the Faculty of Agriculture (1 scholarship) and the Faculty of Arts (1 mission).

These scholarships include the most prestigious universities, faculties and research institutes in 9 countries, led by the United States of America (5 scholarships), the United Kingdom (5 scholarships), Russia (4 scholarships), Australia (2 scholarships), and one scholarship each from Japan, Belgium, Italy, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, indicated that these missions come within the framework of Ain Shams University's keenness to train and create cadres of faculty members in new disciplines that the university needs, from languages ​​and literature to nanotechnology.

His Excellency added that the faculty members accepted in the scholarships are the best ambassadors for the university and our beloved Egypt, transmitting the culture of our dear country and bringing their knowledge to create new generations with scientific and research skills at the international level.

The Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University was keen to congratulate the gentlemen accepted in the various missions, believing in their effective role in exchanging and transferring scientific and research skills to the university after returning home.

Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University, said that the university's keenness to encourage its children to study and train abroad comes from the university's belief in the role played by these envoys in representing the university in terms of scientific and research at the international level.

He added, "The university is interested in its sons who are delegates at the international level so that they return with ideas that enrich education and scientific research at the university and add more to the scientific citadel of Egypt, Ain Shams University. The missions also create environments of international cooperation with the most prestigious universities in the world, which now contain scholars from Ain Shams University in various fields.

The research topics for the accepted masters from Ain Shams University cover multiple scientific and research axes, including the axis of medical sciences and health, the axis of investment and trade, the axis of future studies in investment, the axis of social and human sciences, the axis of agriculture and food security, the axis of strategic industries technologies, the axis of the environment, and the axis of water, This diversity reflects the different areas covered by the research of faculty members at Ain Shams University.
