Dr. Tarek Youssef, Director of Demerdash Hospital affiliated with Ain Shams University, revealed for the first time about Ain Shams University’s preparations for implementing robotic surgery in its hospitals, saying: “Robot surgery has been in the world for 12 years and is used in global centers used by the World Health Organization, and it is a 100% safe. ».

He added, during a telephone interview with the media, Sarah Hazem, on the “Today” program on the “dmc” channel, that the first body that used robotic surgery in Egypt is the National Cancer Institute, and now we have new devices, so we seek to use them.

He explained that there has been a development in operating procedures from open surgeries to endoscopic surgeries, until the matter developed into robotic surgery, and the forester is sitting far from the patient and performs the surgery, stressing that the accuracy of the surgery is very high, in addition to the fact that the robotic tools are easier to reach places inside The human body for ordinary surgical instruments.
