Within the framework of the efforts of the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at Ain Shams University under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and headed by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, to advance the university's graduate studies system, achieve a qualitative leap in scientific and research productivity and create distinguished cadres that will help the university to improve its international classification and keep pace with the rapid scientific, research and technological developments that the world is witnessing.

Next Thursday, 4/3/2021, the first meeting of the Research Board of Ain Shams University will be held (online) headed by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh at eleven o'clock in the morning. Its membership is the honored university scholars among the best 2% of the world's scholars, who are the backbone of the board.

It is the responsibility of the Research Board to define the strategic research plan for the university that keeps pace with the rapid developments that shape the world in the present and future and supports the Egyptian state to reach its strategic goals, in addition to determining the necessary measures for their implementation and developing key performance indicators to start the research plan.

The board also aims to participate in providing and directing human and financial resources to implement the set plan, and to study and evaluate the problems or proposals presented to it in relation to scientific research.

The board is chaired by Prof. Dr. Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and includes among its members the vice-presidents of the university's facultys and institutes for postgraduate studies and research affairs (in their capacity), the executive director of the international relations and academic cooperation sector at the university, and the university scholars honored within the list of the best 2% of world scholars.
