Undergraduate medical program:
The undergraduate medical program for Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery is a five-year 311 credit points program that comprises two phases:
Preclerkship phase: 2.5 years:
This phase covers foundational courses, integrated modules with early clinical exposure and integration
Clerkship phase: 2.5 years:
This phase covers the clinical competencies in different clinical disciplines
The teaching and learning experience in both phases is supplemented with a research thread and a general and specialized professional development thread that covers essential and emerging skills for medical graduates
This is followed by a two-year internship training phase

The Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Ain Shams national and international School of Medicine builds on the deep roots of the public Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine, which was established in 1947 as the Demerdash School of Medicine. The faculty draws on the expertise of thousands of faculty members and their assistants from Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine, while developing the capabilities and expertise of its graduates to a distinguished level that enables them to achieve the highest levels of international rankings in the shortest possible time.
The Program provides educational strategies consistent with the latest teaching and assessment methods, enabling students to acquire the competencies needed to practice as general practitioners, ensuring the desired efficiency in the medical field.
The college's educational system is characterized by its adherence to the latest methods in curriculum development, the provision of educational resources and modern assessment methods that prepare graduates for the job market.
The college features a parallel electronic education system that includes the use of various interactive electronic educational platforms. Theoretical exams is conducted entirely electronically.
The student will have unique opportunity for training in Ain Shams university hospitals, which are among the largest university hospitals in Egypt in terms of the number of beds, which amounts to more than 2,000 beds. The students’ training will also be completed in the college’s university hospital in Obour City.
There are also two skills labs with the latest equipment that allows students to train on the skills required in the first phase.
The program features two professional courses taught over the course of five years, representing 13 credit points. These courses focus on students' personal and professional development. These courses aim to prepare graduates for the job market, setting the college apart from any other medical school in the region.
The general professional track, which trains students in effective communication and presentation skills, as well as other personal and professional skills.
The specialized professional track, which consists of specialized professional courses related to emerging skills in medical practice, keeping pace with global developments. These courses are updated periodically and include: hospital management, healthcare quality, healthcare leadership, healthcare economics, and health data science.
Admission:
Students with minimum admission grade for acceptance set by council for private and national universities are allowed to apply for the program, please refer to admission office site for requirements:

The students will be chosen according to different criteria including grades, English and computer skills proficiency and a personal interview.
Training opportunities during study:
* Students spend two years of mandatory training at El Obour University Hospital after completing their studies.
* Elective courses are available, including clinical training in the college's hospitals.
* Students are also able to take courses on the Coursera and Incision Academy platforms.
* Student exchange programs abroad are available in partnership with the Ain Shams Students' Scientific Association.
* Training in the skills required for graduates is provided through a specialized professional track course, which includes skills such as hospital management and quality of healthcare education
Career opportunities for program graduates:
All students are ranked according to their cumulative grades upon graduation, and vacancies are officially announced .Students may apply if they have high grades and are ranked competitively.
If accepted, they will join the faculty.
