In line with Ain Shams University's strategy to support academic and research excellence, recognize outstanding scientific talent, and foster creativity and innovation as essential pillars for advancing scientific research and strengthening the University's competitive standing, the University continues its efforts to develop its awards system and enhance nomination procedures. These efforts aim to ensure clarity in procedures and evaluation criteria while promoting equal opportunities for all applicants.

In this context, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, the University's Awards Office has launched the updated edition of the University Awards Guidelines for the 2026–2027 academic year. The guidelines cover the University Appreciation Awards, Pioneers Awards, University Appreciation Award for Women, and University Encouragement Awards.

This update reflects the Awards Office's commitment to improving the content of the guidelines, simplifying nomination procedures, and providing a comprehensive reference to help Faculty Staff and teaching assistants understand the requirements of each award and prepare complete nomination files in accordance with the approved criteria and regulations.

The development process included reorganizing and updating the nomination forms for each award and linking them to their corresponding evaluation forms. It also involved adding detailed explanatory guidance on evaluation criteria, reviewing and refining the evaluation components for certain awards, and updating the required supporting documents. These improvements aim to clarify nomination requirements, ensure their alignment with evaluation mechanisms, streamline procedures, and save applicants time and effort.

The University's Awards Office reaffirms its continued commitment to developing and updating the guidelines and providing applicants with the necessary technical support and guidance. These efforts aim to facilitate participation, promote constructive competition, and highlight outstanding academic achievements that make valuable contributions to the University's academic and research progress.
