“For Egypt” Student Association at Ain Shams University Participate in the 54th Training Workshop on the Role of Government Institutions in Countering Plans to Destabilize the State

“Students for Egypt” Student Association at Ain Shams University participated in the 54th Training Workshop for University Students, held at the Police Academy from October 18 to 22 under the theme “The Role of Government Institutions in Countering Plots to Undermine the State.” For the first time, the workshop was attended exclusively by students from Ain Shams University.

The workshop was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, with administrative supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

The participation of Ain Shams University students reflects the University's commitment to developing students' national awareness, enhancing their understanding of contemporary challenges, and familiarizing them with the mechanisms through which state institutions operate and their role in addressing various challenges.

The workshop featured a series of awareness-raising and educational lectures covering several important topics, most notably the dissemination of destructive ideologies as a method of modern warfare, fourth-generation warfare, nonviolent warfare, and disinformation campaigns. The lectures aimed to deepen students' understanding of these challenges and strengthen their ability to critically assess circulating information and ideas and verify the credibility of their sources.

The activities also included an introductory tour of the Police Academy, providing students with an opportunity to learn about its facilities, capabilities, and institutional role. In addition, a field visit was organized to the Media and Public Relations Sector of the Ministry of Interior, where students gained insights into the nature of media and public awareness activities, their role in communicating with society, and their contribution to highlighting the efforts of state institutions.

The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion session featuring a distinguished group of senior officials from the Ministry of Interior. The session addressed several topics and issues related to the workshop's main themes, providing students with an opportunity to engage in discussions and exchange views and ideas.

The discussion was followed by the workshop's closing ceremony, during which appreciation and gratitude were expressed to the participating students in recognition of their active engagement and commitment to benefiting from the training program.

During the closing ceremony, Major General Dr. Diaa Abdel Rahim Haridy, Director of the Police Research Center at the Police Academy, praised Ain Shams University students for their commitment to attendance and active participation throughout the workshop, as well as their exemplary conduct and appearance, which reflected positively on the University's reputation. Certificates of recognition were also presented to participating members of the “Students for Egypt” Student Association in appreciation of their active involvement in the workshop.

This participation forms part of the student activities plan implemented by the Education and Student Affairs Sector, represented by the “Students for Egypt” Student Association, under the leadership of Dr. Samar Ragab, General Faculty Advisor of the Association, in cooperation with Ms. Asmaa Khater, Acting Director General of the General Administration for Youth Welfare, and the Student Associations and Unions Department.

This participation further underscores Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting student activities and training programs that contribute to students' personal development, broaden their knowledge and skills, instill a sense of belonging and national responsibility, and prepare an informed generation of young leaders capable of making positive contributions to society.
