The meeting addressed ways to utilize modern technological solutions to enhance the quality of medical services provided to citizens through the implementation of electronic medical records, the activation of telemedicine services, and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies. These initiatives aim to support medical teams, enhance the efficiency of medical decision-making, and improve the quality of healthcare, particularly in underserved areas.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the distribution of roles and responsibilities among the participating entities to ensure coordinated efforts and the achievement of the project’s objectives. Huawei will provide the technological infrastructure and advanced equipment required to support healthcare units, while the Hayah Karima Foundation will contribute to upgrading the units and coordinating the project's logistical arrangements.
In this context, the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, in collaboration with the management of Ain Shams University Digital Hospital, will oversee the development of the project's technical and medical components, train physicians and nursing staff in the use of modern technologies, and provide medical support to healthcare teams working at the units through telemedicine services. These efforts aim to enhance operational efficiency and improve the quality of healthcare services delivered to citizens.
This cooperation reflects Ain Shams University’s commitment to leveraging its medical and academic expertise to support the state's efforts to develop the healthcare system, promote digital transformation, and foster innovation in medical service delivery. It also seeks to expand access to primary healthcare and ensure equitable access to medical services, particularly in underserved areas, through an effective partnership that brings together medical and academic expertise, technological capabilities, and development efforts.
