Unstoppable Determination and World-Class Achievements... The Faculty of Business Congratulates Special Olympics Champion Mariam Mohamed on Winning Six Gold Medals at the Egypt Athletics Cup
As part of its leading role and continued support for outstanding student achievers, the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University proudly extends its warmest congratulations to its student Mariam Mohamed Ahmed, a second-year student and an inspiring symbol of determination and resilience among students with disabilities, on her latest sporting achievement: winning six gold medals at the 2026 Egypt Athletics Cup and the National Championship of the Intellectual Sports Federation.
Champion Mariam has built a truly inspiring success story, with an exceptional sporting record of more than 70 gold and silver medals in athletics, including running and throwing events, at the Egypt Cup and national championships organized by the Intellectual Sports Federation.
Beyond her excellence in athletics, Mariam has also distinguished herself in martial arts. She holds a brown belt in karate and has won numerous gold and silver medals in Royal Aikido self-defense competitions, reflecting the remarkable diversity of her sporting abilities and talents.
At the international level, Mariam has made her mark in the Special Olympics, achieving remarkable milestones that add to Egypt’s sporting achievements. She won a gold medal at the World Shot Put Championship and placed fourth worldwide in running competitions. She also added a silver medal in powerlifting and a bronze medal in snow running to her record, demonstrating her ability to excel and compete across a wide range of international sporting events.
The Faculty administration affirmed that Mariam Mohamed is an inspiring role model and a powerful example for young people, demonstrating that persons with disabilities possess exceptional abilities to overcome challenges and turn them into opportunities for achievement and success.
