The Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University organized a welcome event for students for the 2026/2027 academic year, as part of its efforts to help new students integrate into university life and introduce them to the academic departments, study programs, and academic system, as well as the future career opportunities available to graduates of each department, helping them develop a clear vision for their academic and professional paths.

The event reflects the faculty’s commitment to providing a supportive educational environment, offering students’ academic guidance and awareness, and encouraging their participation in student activities, thereby contributing to the development of well-rounded university students capable of pursuing their academic and professional careers effectively.

The welcome event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dalia Hussein Fahmy, Acting Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Zeinab Mostafa Moussa, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in cooperation with the faculty’s various departments and administrative units.

During the event, Prof. Dalia Hussein Fahmy, Acting Dean of the Faculty and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, emphasized the importance of adhering to university ethics, values, and appropriate conduct. She stressed the need to strike a balance between regular attendance at lectures and participation in meaningful student activities, given their important role in developing students’ personalities and skills. She also presented the faculty’s departments and the future career opportunities available to graduates of each department.

For her part, Prof. Zeinab Mostafa Moussa, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained the credit-hour system, study regulations, and how students can achieve the required academic performance. She emphasized the importance of keeping up with coursework and complying with the regulations governing the educational process.

She also advised students to use the approved official channels and legal procedures when submitting any inquiries or complaints, ensuring that they are addressed in an organized and effective manner.

The event introduced students to their courses, the nature of study at the faculty, and labor market requirements. Students’ various questions were also answered, and they were encouraged to make the most of their university years by acquiring the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to prepare for their professional careers.

The faculty also ensured the readiness of classrooms, laboratories, and lecture halls, the regular scheduling of classes, and the availability of essential student services, ensuring the smooth operation of the educational process from the first day of study.
