The First Annual Scientific Conference for New Programs Kicks Off at the Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University organized the First Annual Scientific Conference for New Programs as part of its commitment to supporting scientific research and encouraging students enrolled in the new programs to actively participate in scientific activities and events, contributing to the development of their academic and research skills and enhancing their capacities for innovation and creativity.

The conference was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Walaa Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University; Prof. Ahmed Abu El-Yazid, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Mona Zayed, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Manal Mubarak, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Faisal Bayoumi, Director of the New Programs; and Prof. Mostafa Shaheen, Deputy Director of the New Programs.

The conference was organized within the framework of Ain Shams University’s strategy to support and develop modern academic programs, encourage students to pursue creativity and scientific excellence, and provide them with opportunities to present their ideas and research projects, thereby fostering a culture of research and innovation within the faculty.

         
   
         

The conference serves as a scientific platform for presenting and discussing distinguished research projects and innovative ideas developed by students enrolled in credit-hour programs. It also promotes scientific communication and the exchange of expertise between students and faculty members, supporting the faculty’s efforts to advance its educational system and strengthen the integration of education with scientific research, innovation, and practical applications.

The Faculty of Agriculture’s new credit-hour programs reflect its commitment to advancing agricultural education and introducing specialized academic programs that keep pace with rapid scientific and technological developments and meet labor market needs, with a strong focus on practical applications and the development of students’ professional and research skills.

These programs also provide a more flexible educational system that combines academic study with practical training and offers students broader opportunities to specialize in modern agricultural fields. This contributes to preparing qualified graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required to compete in local and international labor markets and actively contributes to sustainable development efforts.

The conference witnessed distinguished student and academic participation, reflecting the stimulating educational and research environment provided by the credit-hour programs. These programs offer students opportunities to apply their scientific knowledge and transform their ideas into practical projects and research, further strengthening the role of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University in preparing specialized professionals capable of meeting future demands across various fields of agricultural sciences.

At the conclusion of the conference, shields, certificates of appreciation, and financial awards were presented to the project teams and students who achieved top rankings, in recognition of their excellence and scientific contributions. Faculty members who supervised the projects, as well as the evaluators, were also honored in appreciation of their efforts and their role in supporting students and encouraging scientific research and innovation. This reflects the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University’s commitment to motivating its students and supporting outstanding achievement across various scientific fields.
