As part of Ain Shams University’s commitment to safeguarding the future of its students and in line with its academic and educational responsibilities, and following its previous announcement regarding a thorough and careful review of the status of students at risk of dismissal from the Faculty of Specific Education, the committee formed for this purpose has concluded its work after examining the students’ academic standing in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the educational process.

The committee decided to grant a final exceptional opportunity to all students who were at risk of dismissal in the Spring Semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This opportunity allows them to continue their studies for two regular semesters—Fall and Spring, in addition to a Summer Semester, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year. This will enable them to raise their cumulative GPA to the minimum required for continued enrollment, which is a GPA of 2.0, and thereby avoiding final dismissal from the faculty.

Ain Shams University emphasizes that this measure falls within the framework permitted by the applicable academic rules and regulations and was adopted following careful consideration by the relevant committee. It seeks to strike a balance between upholding academic standards, safeguarding students’ futures, and providing them with a genuine opportunity to improve their academic standing.

The University also affirms that this matter has been handled from the outset in accordance with the established institutional and academic frameworks. The relevant committee was formed to conduct a comprehensive review of the situation before proceeding with the resulting measures, ensuring that the decision was made on objective and well-regulated grounds that take students’ best interests into account while maintaining the smooth operation of the educational process and compliance with academic regulations.

Ain Shams University stresses that the opportunity granted to these students is exceptional and final. Students are therefore required to demonstrate serious commitment to their studies, work toward raising their cumulative GPAs to the required minimum within the specified period and make full use of this opportunity to continue their academic journey.
