Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, extended his sincere congratulations to the University’s Faculty of Medicine on receiving international ISO certifications, marking a new institutional achievement that reflects the faculty’s commitment to applying the highest quality standards, supporting continuous development, and enhancing institutional performance.

As part of the celebration of this achievement, Prof. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ain Shams University Hospitals, officially received the international certificates of conformity from TUV United Egypt, the certification body. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Hala Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Dalia Ahmed, Professor of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Management and Chair of the Faculty’s Administrative Quality Committee; and Ahmed Kamel, Executive Director of TUV United Egypt.

The Faculty of Medicine’s receipt of these certifications confirms the success of its efforts to establish an integrated institutional quality management system, enhance the efficiency of administrative processes, and comply with international standards in the areas of quality, environmental management, occupational health, and safety.

The international certificates of conformity awarded to the faculty include:

ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems.

ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems.

ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

This achievement reflects the Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to developing its institutional work system in accordance with the latest international standards, thereby contributing to improved performance efficiency, a safer and more sustainable work environment, and the consolidation of a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

The achievement is also the result of the dedicated and coordinated efforts of the faculty staff, staff, and quality team, who played an active role in meeting the requirements and standards for obtaining international ISO certifications.

The Faculty of Medicine expressed its sincere appreciation to TUV United Egypt for its role in supporting the faculty’s quality journey and for the fruitful cooperation and successful partnership that contributed to achieving this institutional milestone, adding to the record of achievements of the Faculty of Medicine and Ain Shams University in the fields of quality and institutional excellence.
