The Games are being held with the participation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture; the Ministry of Youth and Sports, headed by Mr. Gohar Nabil; the African University Sports Federation, headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee for the 12th African University Games; and the Egyptian University Sports Federation, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Kamel Mahdy, Chairman of the Games’ Organizing Committee.

The video highlights the key features of the Games, which bring together university students from across Africa on Egyptian soil and feature a diverse range of sporting competitions, along with accompanying events and activities designed to promote communication and interaction among the continent’s youth.

The video highlights the participation of 81 universities from 17 African countries, with approximately 2,000 athletes and administrators, competing in 18 major sports, in addition to three recreational sports and four para-sports, reflecting the scale and diversity of participation in this major continental university sporting event.

The video also showcases several universities and sports facilities that will host the Games’ competitions, while highlighting the Games’ visual identity and official mascot, “Tuts Hop,” inspired by ancient Egyptian civilization and symbolizing the strength of young people and their aspirations for the future.
