Ain Shams University continues implementing the specialized phase of the Children's University Program in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). As part of the initiative, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences is hosting children participating in a 15-day training program designed to develop their programming and modern technology skills while preparing them for the demands of the digital future.

During a report aired by Cairo Channel, program coordinators explained that the children enrolled in the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences based on their own preferences. Participants are divided into training groups that receive hands-on instruction in programming and a variety of modern technological applications, enabling them to learn through practical experience and real-world implementation.

The supervisors also noted that registration for the Children's University Program is conducted through the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology's official website for children aged 9 to 10 years. Following online registration, the Academy sends the lists of accepted participants to the university to begin implementing the program.

The training program includes 3D modeling using Blender, where participants learn the fundamentals of the software and its interface. It also introduces educational platforms and digital tools such as Canva, Coursera, and Zoom, in addition to awareness sessions on the safe use of artificial intelligence, data protection, and digital privacy.

The participating children expressed their enthusiasm about the program, emphasizing that they acquire new skills every day, including programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as two-dimensional and three-dimensional design techniques and the use of various programming tools. They noted that these experiences have significantly enhanced their technical abilities and broadened their knowledge.

Several participants added that the program encouraged them to enroll in additional programming and technology courses and helped shape their future aspirations toward studying computer science. They also explained that they continue applying what they learn at the university by completing projects and training assignments at home.

The Children's University Program aims to develop children's skills in science, technology, and innovation while fostering creativity and critical thinking. It seeks to prepare a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid digital and technological advancements and to promote a culture of lifelong learning from an early age.
